A woven copper wire sweeps down the face of this pendant in a long S-curve, closing into a tight spiral at its center and dropping a second, smaller curl just below, while a stack of open spirals climbs above the stone in front of a woven bail.
This dark plum-brown stone was picked up in the Teton Range by a family friend who wanted it wrapped for his wife as a keepsake of a place she loves, and its tapered, uneven shape meant letting the stone's own curves decide where every wire would run.
Turn the pendant over and a single copper line traces the peaks of the Tetons across the back, a small mountain skyline held against the stone and carried close each time she wears it.
