Shell and Copper Display — Piece No. D011

Tall and balanced like a hanging scale, this hammered copper display opens from a small ring at the top into a long oval frame, with shells from a North Carolina beach gathered along its lower half.

A cream shell flecked with red-brown hangs from one arm of the breaking-wave curl and a dark near-black shell from the other, while a lavender scallop with a pale rim drops below them on a hammered spiral link and a single copper bead.

Tucked inside the frame, a smaller mauve-striped shell hangs just beneath the inward-turning spiral, and light glints along every hammered facet of the wire in this custom piece made for a friend.
