Shell and Copper Display — Piece No. D010

Rose-striped, smoky brown, and near-black, shells picked up on a North Carolina beach step down this hammered copper display.

Above them, the wire loops out of a hanging ring into a wide spiral that circles inward toward the smallest shell, while a breaking-wave curl sweeps across the base of the frame and reaches out to carry a shell on each side.

Made as a custom piece for a friend, it's finished with small wraps binding each joint and a tight copper coil linking the frame to that striking near-black shell, which hangs straight down beneath the wave.
