River Stone Copper Display — Piece No. D014

Just two inches tall and two and a half wide, this stone is palm-sized, but the copper tree spread edge to edge across its face gives it the presence of a much larger piece as it sits on its block of warm, fine-grained wood.

Copper wire twists into a single leaning trunk, then breaks into wavy branches that climb all the way up and curl over the stone's rounded top edge, while the roots splay outward and grip the underside where stone meets wood.

Behind the wire, rust-red and dusky mauve bands drift across the sandy, faintly glinting surface of the river stone.
