The wire work climbs and loops before it ever reaches the stone, twisting into an open figure-eight and a small coiled loop that cradles a single faceted red bead near the top of the bail.
Lower down, the antiqued copper darkens to a deep bronze and gathers into a cluster of tight spirals along the stone's edge, a bit of extra flourish where the wrap ties off.
The agate itself is pale and lace-patterned, its fine banding interrupted by a vein of deep maroon that runs almost the full height of the stone. This was the very first stone Tara ever wrapped in copper.
