The flat oval stone was picked up on a beach walk. Its surface is soft and matte against the shine of the wire. The copper Tree of Life has room to sprawl from root to crown without crowding the edges.
A tightly twisted trunk rises from a wide fan of roots at the base, then splits into thin branches that wander up and across the stone's pale gray face.
The bail is wrapped in close horizontal coils.
